What an interesting weekend.

Everything that could possibly happen this weekend, definitely happened . On Friday, I went to my cousins to go snowboarding and usually there are a lot of people on the hill but that time there wwas like one other family . They were really strange too; they had a sled that had wheels and one time when they flew down the hill, two of the wheels flew off . After a few more people came, we stopped snowboarding and began sledding but Our goal was to run into random people . It didn't work very well; we kept missing them and flying over the ramp . See mr. Potter, I'm using semicolons and commas . I hope I'm using them right . Then on Saturday , I was going to go sledding on a pond, but it didn't work out too well . The ice was 6 inches, and google does say that if it's 6 inches, it's thick enough to drive a vehicle on . We drove a tractor to get all the snow off, but after going once around the pond, the ice broke and it started to sink . We tried to use a truck to pull it out but it slipped and started falling into the pond too . 5 of the tow truck companies we called would not help us, but luckily, all these random guys who drove by in trucks stopped and helped us get both of them out . It took a loooooong time, and got two other trucks stuck in the process, but we did get everything back to kinda normal . How eventful .

Toooo muchhh !

I have so much work to do this weekend.
And im cramming in the studying. I have been working on the half year classes first because that is like a whole years worth of learned information and it's all going to be on one giant test. Ohhhhhhmmmy. I just can't wait for all of this to be over. After I finish each test I will feel so relieved, and less unstressed.
But tomorrow I am going to take a break from all of this studying and go sledding and snowboarding with my cousin. There is a hill right behind her house.
My sister has one of her friends over tonight and they are being really crazy. They spent about four hours trying on and picking out clothing, then styling their hair in seven different ways until they found just the right one, annnnd then, caking on tons of makeup just to take pictures. That's a little much. Now they are taking showers, thank god.
I hope they fall asleep soon, I don't know if they're energy is ever going to run out though.

okay, i dont even know when this blog was due, i just know im misssing one, at least one . i have been so behind on these, but im not going to forget this weeekend ! so the story we are reading is suuuuuuper long. It like a book all on its own but in a packet form . And its not even one of those stories that take forever to say a single thing or make a point, it got right to it. I like how it moves along pretty fast too, we have only read about 5 pages and already three couples have died, and it just keeps going and going. i hope it doesnt have a dumb ending either, that would make an okay story drop down to horrible. Mr. pottter. you better not make the midterm really hard . you need to make it similar to the mockingbird test we took months ago. It reaaaaally needs to snow tonight too, like 10 inches . schoool tomorrow would be quite unneccessary . thursday too . and friday, would be nice also. oh, 15 minnnnutes !

just another one of those blogs .

okay, here we go again . I wonder if we still have to do our blogs over the break . i hope not ! that would be horribly bad because i would never remember and then i would get like 20 zeros and fail and it just all goes downhill from there . I tried to do this blog on sunday on my phone but it didnt load all the way or something and it wouldnt let me type anything except the title . So that is why im doing it right now. I can never remember to do them any day except on sundays, it clicks into my brain on sunday, randomly . I didnt really want the delay for today, i was kinda ready to go to school . I really just want to do spanish . If we have a delay tomorrow im going to be disappointed . I dont want to go on wednesday, im going to be prepared and everything for tuesday and if we go wednesday it is just going to mess it all up. I honestly cannot remember anything we did on friday . Ohh ! we watched that movie ! that was really funny when that guys face popped up on the screen, i saw a few people jump haha . i am really looking forward to this semester ending so i can finaaaaaally be done with infotech and speech ! theyre the worst classes ever but then i go and start health after this, so nothing real positive to look forward to .

i will finally get all 25 points this time ! i dont even know why i dont do the responses, its just crazy. I thought it wouldnt affect my grade that much either but, ohhhh, it does . i like the topic we are doing in class, the civil rights topic. There is just so much to talk about that involves it. its neverending ! i find it fun to watch the movies about the unit too, i think its easier to understand how they were feeling and what was going on that way. so i went to pickerington north this weekend and saw one of their many absolutely amazing plays. It was called "It's A Wonderful Life". They dont neccessarily have the best actors but they have most astonishing props and director. Scott Skiles is the technician guy of the play and i would give him lots of the credit for how great north is. i guess he has beeen to hollywood and has helped some theaters there but he always come back to pickerington to help out, which is very very nice of him. i know if i was that great of a technician i would be going around everywhere to be recognized and such, and id still go back to hollywood and try to get even bigger and become even more noticied until id be the best technician around and this is starting to end in  pointless blog .

malcom x

malcom was a boy who had two brothers and his oldest brother boxed and was really good at it. He felt that he needed to box too so he tried that but he diddnt do so well; he was beaten by a white kid. He started to train and worked hard to become a good boxer and later fought the same white kid again but lost, again. He finally figured that boxing wasnt for him. He was sent to an all white school and was called names but he wasnt sensitive to it because he was used to it. He stayed with the Swerlins and they treated him very well but more like a pet than a human being. He was one the best students in the class and had one of the highest grades but he still wasnt good enough. He told his teacher that he dreamed of becoming a lawyer but his teacher told him thats not realistic but he told everyone else in his class they could be whatever they want. This made him very mad and discouraged him; i think if the teacher told him to persevere to become a lawyer he might have actually became one.

The great debaters

There were many similarities from the movie The Great Debaters with the two shot stories "Nightjohn" and "Mascot." One is the similar occupational choice of Samantha Booke and the boy in "Mascot." They both dreamed of being lawyers but it was much more difficult for them because of their color. The boy's teacher told him he could not become a lawyer, that he has to be realistic; but the teacher tells all of his other students they can become whatever they like, only because they are white. In the end, Samantha makes it to be a lawyer because she fought against racism.

Another was between John from "Nightjohn" and the debate team from The Great Debaters. John protested against racism and discrimination by teaching other slaves how to read and write; to then spread to the rest of the world what was happening to them as slaves. The debate team did just the same, but with words as they spoke when they debated. They educated to their audience about what needs to happen to become equal.

A third comparison was about lynchings. The debate team told everyone through one of their debates about the lynching they witnessed in Texas; just as the slaves in "Nightjohn" had to watch lynchings of other slaves when they were punished.
